About us

A small Zanzibar company that answers its own phone

Our story

We began as guides working for other people's companies, watching travellers get sold the wrong tour on the wrong day of the tide. Eventually we built the operation we would have wanted to work for.

Today we run daily departures across Unguja, arrange fly-in safaris to the mainland, and design private days for families, photographers and honeymooners. Everything is coordinated from a small office in Stone Town by people who grew up here.

We are not the cheapest operator on the island, and we are honest about that. What we offer is a properly planned day, guides who know their subject, and someone who picks up when you call.

Why choose us

What we hold ourselves to

  • Local guides only

Every guide is Zanzibari, licensed and paid fairly — not a seasonal freelancer.

  • Safety first

Life jackets on every boat, checked engines, and we cancel when the sea says so.

  • Honest pricing

One written price with fees explained. No surprise 'entrance costs' on the day.

  • Four languages

Guides work in English, Kiswahili, Italian and French.

  • Community boats

We charter from village crews in Matemwe, Fumba and Nungwi.

  • Support during your stay

One WhatsApp thread for your whole trip — before, during and after.
